Canola iLeVO

By 10 March 2022March 24th, 2022South Stirlings 2021

Objective

  • To demonstrate the benefit of ILeVO® seed treatment for blackleg in canola versus current industry standards
  • Demonstrate the efficacy of Revystar fungicide for Sclerotinia disease control

Background

The ILeVO fungicide trial was sown on the 4th of May 2021 at the David Grays AgroAdvantage trial site in South Stirling’s, WA. 29.6mm of rain fell the night of seeding. Seed treatments included ILeVO, Maxim XL, Saltro and Saltro Duo. The first timing of fungicide was applied on 22nd of July which was Prosaro on three of the treatments. The crop was at a 5-leaf stage. The second foliar application was applied on the 8th of September at 40% flowering. Weather data indicated 16.6 mm of rain on this day, but the conditions at the time of spraying were fine and the rain recorded occurred much later that night. The site at South Stirling’s was heavily affected by waterlogging, delaying the growth and development of the crop throughout the season. There was no Sclerotinia identified at any point in the trial, only blackleg and aerial blackleg. No seedling blackleg detected.
